launches the 2022 annual poster competition

PRIZE & OPPORTUNITY
Montreux Jazz Festival China 2022 annual poster competition Jury will select 20 outstanding posters from all submitted works. These 20 posters will be exhibited together with the historic Montreux Jazz Festival posters in the subsequent poster exhibition. Stay tuned with the exhibition time and location.
The final winner will be announced on March 24. The winning poster will be printed in a 50×70 cm format and sold throughout the festival network worldwide. For every poster sold, the artist will receive a 20% commission on the net sales.
The Winner Prizes
1. 10,000 RMB or 1,500 USD in Cash
2. Two ticket vouchers sponsored by Swiss International Air Lines (value is 2,000 CHF, approximately 14,000 RMB), which can be used to redeem Swiss International Air Lines flights to more than 100 destinations in 50 countries or regions around the world
The 20 Outstanding Posters Designers Will Receive
1. FULL PASS of MJFC 2022
2. Participation at the poster exhibition with certificates
ELIGIBILITY
The competition is open to anyone working in the visual arts (such as graphic designers, illustrators, painters and photographers), and to college degree or above students and apprentices of any form of visual art and design major. Entries must be submitted individually and in the artist’s own name.
The poster can be produced in any medium (digital, illustration, hand-painted, photography, etc.), but it must be submitted digitally.

LEGAL INFORMATION
Image rights
Competition entrants must ensure, prior to file submission, that they have obtained permission to use the images of individuals shown in their work, and if necessary from their parents or legal representatives in the case of minors. Montreux Jazz Festival China cannot be held responsible for issues with non-compliant image rights in relation to work submitted as part of the competition.
Content and restrictions
Designs including politics, racist, pornographic, violent, obscene, or hurtful content will of course be rejected. Entrants must confirm that their work is original, and that they have as certained the origin of images in order to avoid any plagiarism, for which the Montreux Jazz Festival China can not be held responsible.
By entering the competition, entrants agree for their work to be reused in various communications and promotional materials for the event (printed, online and multi media documents).
Intellectual property
Submitted designs must not infringe third-party intellectual property rights and can not include images of other copyright-protected media (posters, advertisements, photographs, etc.), unless permission has been obtained from the rights holder.
By taking part in the competition, entrants whose designs are among the 20 posters selected by an in-house jury agree to their poster being reproduced free ofcharge for the exhibition.
The personal data of entrants and winners will be processed in accordance with data protection regulations.
Scope of competition rules
The rules apply to all competition entrants. Montreux Jazz Festival China reserves the right to disqualify from the competition any individual who does not comply with these rules in their entirety, without providing a reason.
Restrictions
No correspondence will be entered into in relation to the competition. No legal appeals are permitted. By taking part in the competition, participants agree to these conditions of entry.
